Focus on writing
This course is designed to offer you extra practice in writing. It is particularly useful for students taking the Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE), the Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) and the IELTS exams.
But even if you’re not taking one of the Cambridge exams it will help you to practise a variety of writing skills and styles.
How will I improve my English writing skills?
You’ll be challenged in this class to write in a variety of styles for a variety of different situations. This means you’ll get to build your vocabulary while also practising the different tones and sentence construction that different types of writing need.
Your teacher will provide you with focused feedback on each piece of work, giving you the direction you’ll need to improve your writing skills with each session.
Note
- You MUST buy the correct book for your chosen English course. You can buy the book for your course when you arrive in London, either from the library in our Holborn Centre or from our Shepherd's Bush reception.
Class times
Monday to Friday: 1 hour from 11.45 or from 12.45 depending on your level.
Class size
We will never have more than 22 students in a class. However, most of our English classes have an average that is well below this number.
Class venue
Your classes will be at one of our three easy-to-reach London locations. So that we can be as flexible as possible in letting all our students start studying on a date that suits them, we will allocate you to a campus in the weeks leading up to your course.
We do our best to accommodate all our students, but can’t guarantee that the best class for you will be at the venue of your choice.
