Our growing school- Catton Street

Monday, October 13th, 2008

we started very small at the English Studio, with about ten students or so, and we’re really proud of what we’ve achieved here, growing in ten years to have more than a thousand students on the books. We are now opening a new school, a sister to our Holborn branch at High Holborn, just around the corner from that school. This means we will be doing lots of exciting new things;

  • opening a new larger student room with net access for all, and a place to sit, chill, and have a bit to eat and drink
  • giving our building a supercool new look
  • expanding our range of courses to include new programmes to fit everybody’s needs

Which means we’re all quite busy! For me as director, it means looking for new teachers too- people with the right energy, enthusiasm and commitment to help us keep growing as a school. It’s the teachers who make the whole experience for the students, so it’s the most important thing!

Welcome to the World of the English Studio!

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

My name is Rob King, and I’m the Director of Studies here at the English Studio. Alongside four of our students, I will be posting every week to give you all the news and information you need about living in London and learning English! Keep your eyes on the blog, and please post any comments or questions you have.
