Social Scene

Every week, there are sightseeing, cultural and leisure activities. Obviously the most important thing about these activities is that they help you practise your new-found English-speaking skills.

But don't worry. Like everything at The English Studio, we make sure we choose fun activities. And we make sure there's something for everyone. For example, you may not want to sit through a play by Samuel Beckett but some fluff by Ben Elton might be right up your street. We'll try to make sure they're both available.

There are cultural, theatre and museum visits, nightclubs and pubs as well as classical and rock concerts.

Our sightseeing trips include the London Eye, Madame Tussaud's, river trips as well as excursions to Oxford, Cambridge, and Stratford upon Avon and other famous places.

The cost of our Social Scene can be from as little as £5 for Mike’s Famous Beatles Tour up to up to £180 for a weekend in Paris.

We have our own free Film Club

Our Film Club has hundreds of brilliant videos and DVDs for you to borrow. And they're all completely free. From classics like 'Citizen Kane' to obscure gems like 'Made in Britain'. Of course, watching films at home with friends is a fun and cheap night in. But there's an invaluable side effect. Watching DVDs in English gives you a great 'ear' for the language. See? Even when we're not there, we're still teaching you! That's dedication for you.

We have our own free blog

Check out our cool blog. It's like Gumtree and Facebook combined. It's completely exclusive and completely free.

We have our own free monthly newsletter

At the start of every month, your inbox will receive an eNewsletter, written by our very own twinkly-eyed Principal, Phil. With competitions, great offers, money off courses, advice and support, it's the best way to make sure you're getting the most out of your time here. And like almost everything else on this page, it's free!
