Explore a new city during your English course

At The English Studio we value real-life communication skills, and aim to teach our students English language that they can practise in and outside the classroom during their English course in London. And staying in our Student Residence accommodation with fellow students from around the world is another great opportunity to ensure you’ll use your improving English when studying in London.

Located in Kentish Town (transport zone 2) the student residence is a great base for you stay in London to discover some hidden treasures of the city.

Go to a gig at The Forum

Built in 1934 The Forum has seen performances from many famous groups and singers from David Bowie, The Who and Oasis. Now the O2 Forum Kentish Town the venue holds concerts, club nights and comedy gigs. Get some extra English practice at a stand-up comedy gigi!

Feed the animals Kentish Town City Farms

Life in a big city like London can be quite hectic! If you need a change of pace and a reminder of the countryside, we suggest a visit to the City farm in Kentish Town. Entry is free and the farm is open 7 days a week. Drop by to see the animals and enjoy nature and talk to the friendly staff and volunteers about the excellent work they are doing.

Enjoy a picnic at Hampstead Heath

Just a 20-minute walk from our Student Residence is Hampstead Heath. A walk up to Parliament Hill for stunning views of London is a must during any stay in London. But why not make a day of it – grab some food from the local cafes and enjoy a picnic on the Heath.

 

Take the bus to school

Although the Student Residence is ideally located a few minutes’ walk from Kentish Town Underground station, why not take the bus to school. During your stay you can try out a variety of routes and see more of the local area in place of the Underground. The 168 route passes through Camden Town and Russell Square on it’s way to your English course in London.

Test your knowledge in Camden Town

How is your general knowledge? Going to a pub quiz is almost as much of a British tradition as going to a pub. Whatever the day of the week you’re likely to find a local quiz in Camden Town, a short distance from the residence, to test your knowledge and English skills.
